Webb-Rite Safety helps our clients develop fully customized fall protection systems using a comprehensive eight-step process:

Step #1: Client Needs

Our Design & Engineering Department will engage with each customer to gain a thorough understanding of the project scope and the client’s operation. During this period, our teams will identify and give special consideration to any unique challenges or specialized circumstances that drove the customer to seek a custom fall protection solution.

Step #2: Site Visit

Once we have developed a clear understanding of the project, Webb-Rite Safety will send personnel to the client site to inspect the physical location where any equipment and platforms will eventually be installed. This assessment will include taking measurements and identifying any potential physical obstacles or challenges that need to be accounted for in the design.

Step #3: Identification

The initial interview and site visit give our Design & Engineering Department everything they need to identify the most appropriate solution for the customer’s needs. The Webb-Rite Safety team will analyze our existing inventory and identify any components that will work in the specific client scenario. Then they will determine how to customize these components in order to be designed and built to address those needs.

Step #4: Proposal

Webb-Rite Safety’s engineers and technicians will typically identify multiple system configurations that will work in customer’s environment, after which our internal design team will produce concept drawings for each system. Our team will bring these options to the client for their consideration.

Step #5: Quote

Once the customer has selected the system they want, we will quote a price for the project that encompasses any design, production, and installation costs. As a highly experienced provider of fall protection systems, our customers can trust that our in-house experts will provide accurate and reliable quotes.

Step #6: Customer Approval

We require customer approval of the quote before we move on from this point. Once the client commits to the project, we move forward with the development and production process for the custom fall protection system.

Step #7: Custom Manufacturing

During this step, we will finalize the design for the custom fall protection system and build it according to customer needs. Webb-Rite Safety will determine in advance where we may need to design and manufacture parts to adhere to the system’s customization. An engineer from Webb-Rite will run extensive calculations and simulations to verify that each individual part and component complies with stringent OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards. Our engineering team will also verify that the final installation complies with these standards.

Step #8: Inspection

Once the system has been installed, we will conduct a final inspection to verify the efficacy of the installation and the functionality of the system. Once this inspection is complete, the new system is ready for use.
